Tahiti lime (Citrus Latifolia)
The Tathiti lime, known as Persian lime as well, it has a higher production in the Coast Region.
We count with a production of 100% during the months of October till April and 30% for the remaining part of the year.
The Persian lime is of medium size, the pulp is green-yellow and it does not have seeds. The peel presents a green color, from dark to light tones. The average weight of the fruit is 76 g.
The fruit is dispatched into 40’ containers with 20 pallets of 70 to 63 boxes each, depending on client requirements.
Total boxes per container: around 1400.
Regarding to the packing of the fruit, we can say that every market has its preferences. In the case of the United States, the fruit goes into boxes of 18, 14 Kg. and for Europe; it is packed into boxes of 4, 5 Kg.
